ELSRO BASE COAT SEALER DESCRIPTION Elsro Base Coat is a waterborne acrylic sealer that displays high gloss with excellent adhesion to Comfortwalk and Arena floor tile. This premium quality sealer exhibits water resistance and dust reduction by forming a smooth, durable film. Base Coat is an unstrippable sealer that has been pigmented black to help mask any joints or scratches in the surface of the tile. USES Base Coat is designed for use on interior industrial floors where a durable, permanent finish is required. Base Coat eliminates construction dust from being ground into the surface of Comfortwalk or Arena floor tile and provides a smooth, glossy base for Elsro Top Coat floor finish. CHARACTERISTICS Base Coat is easy to use and facilitates fast and easy clean up. LIMITATIONS Base Coat can not be applied at temperatures below 40 degrees F. Do not allow to freeze. Shelf life is one year in an unopened container. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
*Drying times will vary with site conditions/humidity. Firm Dry, which allows for heavy traffic such as forklifts, will take approximately 24 hours. PREPARATORY WORK Surface shall be firm and free from dust, loose particles, grease, oil, and other foreign matter. Substrate may be damp but not wet. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Basic Solution: corrosive to the skin, eyes and mucous membrane. Use in a well ventilated area. Non-flammable at room temperature but should be kept away from heat and fire hazards. Keep out of reach of children. For industrial use only. WORKING CHARACTERISTICS Coverage should average 575 - 650 sq. ft. /gallon. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Stir thoroughly before each use. Apply using a lambswool applicator. Use only clean equipment. Apply subsequent coat at a right angle to the first. Apply in thin, even coats at approximately 300 - 650 sq. ft. /gallon. Apply a minimum of three coats. We recommend waiting 24 hours before application of top coats. |
